This is a wonderful article and represents the state of Ovarian Cancer research at this moment in time–( July 2016 ). Researchers are getting very close to answering questions that will allow for great strides forward in the early diagnosis and treatment.

While ovarian cancer if found early is eminently curable, the majority of ovarian cancer patients are, unfortunately, diagnosed at an advanced stage where outcomes are still unsatisfactory. Indeed, as the symptoms and signs for ovarian cancer are nondescript, many women continue to be diagnosed when more than a kilogram of tumor has already spread throughout the peritoneal cavity.
